Oleuropein is a polyphenol found in olive leaves and fruits. Oleuropein displays antioxidant, anti-ischemic and hypolipidemic activity. It has an antagonistic effect on PPARγ and causes a decrease in adipogenesis. It inhibits proliferation of cancer cells.
