Eptifibatide is a 6 amino acid peptide. It binds to the platelet receptor glycoprotein(GP) IIb/IIIa of human platelets and inhibits platelet aggregation. A disulfide bridge forms between mercaptopropionyl and cysteine. One study shows the inhibition of platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa in acute coronary syndromes.参考文献
